Questions about this tool

What does the AI search readiness check look at?

Whether your homepage loads over HTTPS and is indexable, whether robots.txt lets ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google and Bing crawlers in, whether you have an XML sitemap and llms.txt, your page title and description, how much readable text is in the HTML, structured data that names your business, and question-and-answer content.

Does a good score mean ChatGPT will recommend my business?

No. It means AI systems can read and understand your site. Being recommended also depends on original content, consistent business details across the web and evidence that you do what you say.

Is my website address stored?

No. The check runs once and returns a report. Only a total count of checks is kept.

Should I block GPTBot?

That is a separate choice. GPTBot is OpenAI's training crawler; OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User are what let ChatGPT search find and read your pages. You can block training while still allowing search.
